Simon Pagenaud, born on May 18, 1984, is a French professional racing driver with a diverse and successful career spanning various racing disciplines. He most recently drove the No. 60 Honda for Meyer Shank Racing in the NTT IndyCar Series. Pagenaud's journey began in karting at the age of 9, leading to Formula Renault and eventually across the Atlantic to the United States.

Pagenaud achieved significant success in sports car racing, securing the American Le Mans Series championship in 2010. He transitioned to the IndyCar Series, where he truly made his mark. In 2016, he claimed the IndyCar Series championship, a testament to his skill and consistency. His crowning achievement came in 2019 when he won the Indianapolis 500, becoming the first French-born driver to win the race since Gaston Chevrolet in 1920 and the first polesitter to win since 2009. Beyond IndyCar, Pagenaud has multiple wins in Sports Car racing, including the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2022 and 2023.

Pagenaud's career also includes participation in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans, with a notable second-place finish in 2011 driving for Peugeot Sport. In 2023, he returned to Le Mans with Cool Racing in the LMP2 class. A racing accident in 2023 sidelined him for the remainder of the IndyCar season, however, he continues to be a prominent figure in the racing world.
