Scott Welham

Scott Welham, born on January 19, 1961, is an American racing driver with a diverse background in motorsports. Currently 64 years old, Welham has competed in series such as the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA and the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America. He made a jump to professional racing in 2018, participating in Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama, driving the No. 61 Kelly-Moss Road and Race Porsche 911 GT3 Cup machine in the Platinum Cup class.

Before transitioning to Porsche, Welham had a strong affinity for Vipers, racing them since 2003. His experience with front-engine, high-torque Vipers required an adjustment to the mid-engine, lower-torque characteristics of the Porsche GT3 Cup car. In 2015, Welham collaborated with McCann Racing to build a custom Viper, significantly reducing its weight through the use of carbon fiber panels. This Viper, weighing in at 2,870 pounds, featured an Emco transmission and a GT3 spec 8.4-liter V-10 engine.

Welham's racing resume includes participation in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America - LB Cup Championship with Change Racing. Throughout his career, he has accumulated experience in various racing series and teams.
