Samuel Hsieh

Samuel Hsieh, born on July 26, 1978, is a touring car racing driver hailing from Hong Kong S.A.R. Hsieh made his debut in motorsport at the age of 24 in 2004 at the Zhuhai International Circuit, participating in a weekend of the Hong Kong Touring Car Championship with a Honda Civic. Financial constraints kept him away from racing until 2009, when he acquired a used Group N Honda Integra race car. Currently, he competes in TCR China for Teamwork Motorsport, driving a Volkswagen Golf GTi TCR.

Hsieh has an extensive racing background, including multiple appearances at the Macau Grand Prix support races from 2009 to 2014, initially with China Dragon Racing in a Honda Integra and later in their Subaru Impreza. In 2014, he secured a significant victory by winning the Macau round of the Chinese Racing Cup with a Senova D70. His achievements also include being awarded the 'Hong Kong Driver Bronze Award' by the Hong Kong Automobile Association in 2013. In 2019, he was the first runner-up in the China Endurance Championship-Ningbo Touring Car Cup and second runner-up in the TCR Spa500 Pro-Am class.

Beyond racing, Hsieh remains actively involved in the motorsport scene. Additional achievements include a pole position at the CTCC Shanghai race in 2015, and second overall in the China GT – Am class / GTC Class first runner-up in 2016. He also maintains a YouTube channel, "Samuel Hsieh," where he shares glimpses of his motorsport journey with his subscribers.
