Sam Dejonghe is a Belgian racing driver born on September 2, 1991. While he had a relatively brief stint in the Euroformula Open, he primarily made a name for himself in touring car racing and GT competitions. In 2024, Dejonghe is actively participating in the GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS, driving an Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 EVO for Comtoyou Racing. His teammates include Charles Clark, Matisse Lismont, Xavier Maassen, and Job Van Uitert.
Dejonghe's career highlights include winning the Supercar Challenge CN in 2022 and securing third place in the MRF Challenge Formula 2000 in 2014. In 2011, he finished second in the European F3 Open Championship Cup. More recently, he has been competing in events like the 6 Hours of Jeddah and the Fanatec GT Europe series.
Beyond racing, Dejonghe also has experience as a development driver. Until 2021, he worked with Mahindra, focusing on simulator work and test vehicle development. He even participated in Formula E's rookie test.
