Michel Jourdain Jr., born on September 2, 1976, is a well-known Mexican race car driver celebrated for his achievements in open-wheel racing. Jourdain's career began at the young age of 12 in the Mexican Formula Junior series, progressing through Formula K and Formula 2. He gained prominence in 1996, participating in both the Indy Racing League (IRL) and CART (now Champ Car) series, including the Indianapolis 500, becoming one of the youngest drivers to compete in both Champ Car and the Indy 500.

Jourdain raced full-time in Champ Car from 1997 to 2004. His most successful season came in 2003 when he secured two Champ Car victories at Montreal's Circuit Gilles Villeneuve and the Milwaukee Mile. That same year, driving for Bobby Rahal's team, he finished third in the championship standings. Over his Champ Car career, Jourdain achieved 2 wins, 1 pole position, and 9 podium finishes.

Beyond Champ Car, Jourdain also ventured into NASCAR, accumulating 26 races in the Xfinity Series and seven races in the Gander Outdoors Truck Series. In 2007, he participated in the FIA World Touring Car Championship and later returned to open-wheel racing in the A1GP series. In more recent years, Jourdain has participated in the NASCAR Peak Mexico Series and won the 2020 Super Copa GTM Championship.
