Michael Stephen is a highly accomplished South African racing driver with a career spanning several decades. Hailing from Pretoria but currently residing in Port Elizabeth, Stephen began his motorsport journey at the age of eight, following in his father's footsteps. His early success in karting paved the way for a successful career in saloon car racing.
Stephen's career is decorated with numerous achievements, including 13 South African Championships and two South African National Challenge championships. Notably, he is a two-time Sasol GTC Champion, securing the title in 2016 and 2017. In 2023, Stephen competed in the SA GT National Championship, driving an Ultimate Outlaws Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo2, even winning on his debut with the car.
Stephen has expressed admiration for Ayrton Senna and dreams of racing in the DTM or Australian Supercars Championship. He considers Aldo Scribante Circuit in Port Elizabeth his favorite racing circuit due to its technical and challenging nature, and the support he receives from local fans.
