Max Vidau, born on April 23, 2001, is an Australian racing driver hailing from Adelaide, South Australia, now residing on the Gold Coast, Queensland. Vidau's career began in karts at the age of seven, leading to multiple national titles. He transitioned to cars, becoming the Australian Formula Ford Champion at just 16 after winning the Victorian title the year before. Vidau's early racing also included time in Hyundai Excel and Formula Ford before he moved into the Porsche circuit.
Vidau has experience in various racing categories, including Hyundai Excel, Formula Ford, TA2, Trans Am, MARC GT, and Sprint Cars. He achieved third place in the 2018 and 2019 GT3 Cup Challenge Australia before graduating to the Carrera Cup Australia, where he has 22 round starts. In 2024, Vidau stepped into the Anderson Motorsport Ford Mustang in the Super2 Series, achieving podium finishes in Perth, Townsville, and Bathurst. In 2025, Vidau returns to the Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia driving and preparing his own Porsche 992 GT3 Cup Car run by his Adelaide-based MVA Racing team.
Off the track, Vidau enjoys working on cars and spending time at the river. He also worked with International Motorsport as an engineer for their fleet of 992 Cup Cars.
