Wilkins currently drives for Hyundai Motorsport and Bryan Herta Autosport in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. With a career spanning numerous racing series, he's become known for his versatility and success in North American motorsports.

Wilkins' journey began in the early 2000s, progressing through formula car ranks before transitioning to sports car racing. He made his debut at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in 2004, securing a podium finish. He quickly gained recognition in the Grand-Am series, achieving multiple pole positions and victories, including wins at Watkins Glen and Montreal in 2008. In 2010, Wilkins joined Level 5 Motorsports, claiming victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring. As a factory driver for Kia Racing in 2012, he added a Pirelli World Challenge win to his name, along with multiple podiums. A significant career highlight came in 2014 when he won the Rolex 24 at Daytona in the PC class with CORE Autosport. In 2019, driving a Hyundai Veloster N TCR for Bryan Herta Autosport, Wilkins, alongside Michael Lewis, clinched the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Drivers' Championship.
