Félix Porteiro Pérez, born on August 26, 1983, is a Spanish racing driver with a career spanning various motorsport disciplines. Porteiro began his racing journey in karting, achieving success early on by becoming the Champion of Catalonia in the Cadet category in 1995 and 1996. In 1997, he was the runner-up in the Spanish Junior Championship. Progressing to single-seaters, he competed in the Spanish Formula Three Championship in 2001, securing fourth place with one win. From 2002 to 2005, he participated in the World Series by Nissan, later known as Formula Renault 3.5, achieving a best finish of fifth in 2005. In 2006, he raced in the GP2 Series with Campos Racing.
Porteiro transitioned to touring cars in late 2006, debuting in the European Touring Car Cup with ROAL Motorsport, finishing fifth. This performance earned him a full-time seat in the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) with BMW Team Italy-Spain in 2007. He secured his first WTCC victory at Brno and finished twelfth overall. In 2008, he claimed his second win at Oschersleben, ending the season in tenth place. In 2009, he moved to Proteam Motorsport and finished second in the Independent's Trophy.
Beyond driving, Félix and his brother Santiago manage Porteiro Motorsport, a team focused on training and preparing professional race car drivers. They have contributed to the careers of drivers such as Carlos Muñoz and Roberto Merhi, who progressed to IndyCar and F1, respectively. The team has also collaborated with notable drivers like Carlos Sainz, Roman Rusinov, and Jaime Alguersuari.
