Daniel Pedrosa, born on September 29, 1985, is a Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer. Known as "Dani" to fans, Pedrosa is celebrated for his remarkable career, primarily with the Repsol Honda Team in MotoGP. Although he retired from regular competition after the 2018 season, he remains a prominent figure as a test and development rider for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing.
Pedrosa's career boasts three World Championships: the 125cc title in 2003, and consecutive 250cc titles in 2004 and 2005, becoming the youngest ever to win the 250cc title. In MotoGP, he secured 31 victories and 112 podiums, finishing as championship runner-up in 2007, 2010, and 2012. Despite never clinching the MotoGP World Championship, Pedrosa consistently ranked among the top contenders, earning widespread respect.
Even with his relatively small stature, Pedrosa made a significant impact in MotoGP, consistently demonstrating exceptional skill and precision. His smooth riding style and race management abilities set him apart. In 2019, a corner at the Circuito de Jerez was named "Curva Dani Pedrosa" in his honor. Since retiring, Pedrosa has contributed to KTM's rise in MotoGP as a test rider and has occasionally participated in races as a wildcard entry.
