Visió general del corredor
Clayton Williams is a rising star in the world of American motorsports. Hailing from Oakley, California, Williams began his racing career at the young age of seven, honing his skills in go-karts and competing in top-tier karting events across the country. His talent and dedication quickly became apparent, leading to his selection as one of four finalists for the VMB Driver Academy Scholarship in 2018, run by WorldSpeed Motorsports.
Transitioning from karts to cars, Williams entered the world of Spec Miata racing with the National Auto Sport Association (NASA) and the Teen Mazda Challenge. After a successful stint in Spec Miata, he joined the MINI John Cooper Works Racing Team, run by LAP Motorsports. In his debut in the SRO TC America Series, he secured an impressive 3rd place finish at Sonoma Raceway. In 2023, driving the #60 MINI JCW PRO, Williams clinched the Driver's Championship in the Touring Car (TC) class of the SRO TC America series, marking a significant milestone in his career. In what many considered to be his best season, he had five first-place finishes, five second-place finishes, and one third-place finish. His current goal is to compete in GT4 racing.
Beyond his on-track achievements, Williams is dedicated to charitable causes. He partnered with Racing 2 Cure to raise awareness and donations for breast cancer, becoming a top fundraiser. Since 2020, he has been an ambassador for Donate Life America, promoting organ donor registration. This cause is especially meaningful to him, as his mother received a life-saving liver transplant and, later, a kidney transplant from his sister. Born on November 29, 2001, Clayton Williams continues to chase his racing dreams while making a positive impact off the track.
