Alexandru Cascatau is a Romanian racing driver born on August 11, 1992, in Constanta. He is a Silver-rated FIA driver. Cascatau has shown versatility across different racing series, demonstrating his skills in both real-world and digital motorsports. His career highlights include a 1st place finish in the 2020 GT & Prototype Challenge - CN, and a 3rd place in the 2022 Supercar Challenge - LMP3. In 2019, he also secured 3rd in the 24 Hours of Zolder in the Class 1 CN 2000 category.
Cascatau's passion for racing ignited early, fueled by watching Formula 1 with his father and the thrill of driving on countryside roads. This early interest led him to karting, which eventually progressed to racing karts and cars. He has competed in series such as the Ultimate Cup Series - Endurance Prototype - LMP3 and Prototype Cup Germany. In 2020, driving a Norma M20 FC, he achieved pole position and victory in his maiden Super Challenge outing at Assen for BS Racing, repeating the feat a fortnight later.
