Alexandre Cougnaud, born on December 5, 1991, is a French racing driver with a diverse career spanning various racing series. Hailing from Les Sables-d'Olonne, France, Cougnaud began his motorsport journey in karting back in 2002, honing his skills primarily in his native country. Progressing through the ranks, he entered the Formul'Academy Euro Series in 2009 and later competed in Formula Renault 2.0 Suisse, securing a podium finish in 2010.

Cougnaud's career gained momentum with his participation in the European F3 Open Championship. In 2012, he raced in the "Copa/Cup Class," achieving a third-place finish overall with multiple podiums. He continued in the series, driving a Dallara F312 car for RP Motorsport in 2013. More recently, Alexandre has been involved in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), a prestigious endurance racing series. In his debut year in ELMS in 2016, he secured two victories with Yvan Muller Racing, including the Road To Le Mans race and the final race of the season in Estoril.

Throughout his career, Cougnaud has demonstrated versatility and adaptability, competing in various GT events such as the GT Europe Endurance. He holds an FIA Silver driver categorization, reflecting his experience and skill level. Currently, he is associated with MRACING and continues to participate in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
