Nuno Batista

Nuno Batista is a highly accomplished Portuguese racing driver with over 30 years of experience in motorsport. Born in Porto on January 6, 1971, he began his racing career in karting at the age of 13, quickly demonstrating his talent. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Porto.

Batista's career boasts an impressive list of achievements, including six national titles in the last 10 years, two of which are absolute titles. In 2018, he won the Spanish GT Championship (Overall). He was the Portuguese Champion in the TCR category in 2016. Other notable achievements include winning the Troféu Toyota T-Sport in 2003, and multiple Portuguese championships in GT and Touring Car categories. In 2019, he finished second in the GT4 South European Series (AM class). He has been closely associated with Porsche since 2013, securing four championship titles with the brand.

Currently, Nuno Batista competes in the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade (CPV) in a Mercedes-AMG GT4 for Veloso Motorsport, partnering with Francisco Carvalho. The duo aims for a swift adaptation to the new car and to contend for victories in their class. Beyond driving, Batista also has experience as a Technical Director and Race Engineer in various racing series, including LMP2 in the 24h Le Mans, ELMS, and AsianLMS, as well as GP3.
