Axel Van Straaten

Axel Van Straaten is a French racing driver who competes in various GT series. He often partners with his brother, Rémi Van Straaten. The Van Straaten brothers compete as part of the VS Compétition team, demonstrating a strong fraternal spirit and mutual support, contributing to numerous victories and podium finishes.

Axel has participated in events such as the International GT Open, GT Cup Open Europe, and the FFSA GT4 France series. In 2019, he competed in the FFSA GT4 at Nogaro in an Alpine A110 GT4 for Mirage Racing, alongside Rémi. More recently, the duo has been seen racing a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup with Orhès Racing in the International GT Open, competing in the GTC Pro-Am class. In 2021, Axel and Rémi, along with Didier Van Straaten, drove the #73 Orhès - VS Compétition Ligier JS2 R in the Ligier JS Cup France, achieving a fastest lap in their class at the Paul Ricard circuit.
