Alex Tagliani

Alexandre "Alex" Tagliani, nicknamed "Tag," is a highly accomplished Canadian professional racing driver with a diverse career spanning multiple racing disciplines. Born on October 18, 1973, in Lachenaie, Quebec, Tagliani's passion for racing ignited at the age of 10 during a family trip to Italy, where he was introduced to karting. He quickly ascended through the Quebec karting ranks, showcasing his talent with numerous podium finishes.

Tagliani's professional career includes stints in the Atlantic Championship, Champ Car, IndyCar Series, NASCAR Pinty's Series, and NASCAR Xfinity Series. He raced in Champ Car from 2000 until its demise in 2007, securing a victory at Road America in 2004. Transitioning to stock cars in 2008, he joined the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series (now NASCAR Canada Series), where he achieved his first win at Edmonton Airport. From 2008 to 2016, Tagliani had an illustrious IndyCar career, which included winning the pole for the 2011 Indianapolis 500. In 2009, he was named the Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year.

Currently, Alex Tagliani competes full-time in the NASCAR Canada Series, driving the No. 18 Chevrolet Camaro for 22 Racing. A versatile and experienced driver, Tagliani continues to be a prominent figure in Canadian motorsports. Off the track, he raises awareness for nut allergies.
