Tobias Lütke

Tobias Lütke, born in 1980 in Koblenz, Germany, is a German-Canadian entrepreneur who has recently added "racing driver" to his already impressive resume. Best known as the co-founder and CEO of Shopify, the e-commerce platform giant based in Ottawa, Canada, Lütke's journey began with a childhood fascination for computer programming. He moved to Canada in 2003 and his entrepreneurial spirit led him to create Shopify in 2006.

In 2025, Lütke is pursuing his passion for motorsports by competing in the IMSA SportsCar Championship in the LMP2 class. He is driving for Era Motorsport, sharing the cockpit with experienced co-drivers Paul-Loup Chatin, Ryan Dalziel, and David Heinemeier Hansson.
