Joel Roussel is a French racing driver with experience in various European racing series. Born on February 14, 1973, Roussel began his competitive career in 1998. He achieved early success in hillclimb racing, winning the French Cup Hillclimb Formula 3 in both 2008 and 2009. For a decade, from 2010 to 2020, he competed in the Hillclimb European Championship with a Lola B02.
In 2021, Roussel participated in multiple series, including the Formula X Italian Championship (Tatuus FR 2.0), where he secured a pole position and four podium finishes. He also competed in the Sport Prototype Italian Championship (Wolf GB08 Thunder), earning two podiums, a pole position, and a fastest lap, and became the Sport Prototype European Champion (Wolf GB08 Thunder). That same year, he participated in the European Le Mans Series LMP2 (Oreca 07 Gibson 4.2).
More recently, Roussel has been associated with BHK Motorsport, competing in the Ultimate Cup Series. Information from 2023 indicates he drove a Duqueine M30 - D08 with a Nissan engine in that series. His FIA Driver Categorisation is Bronze.
