Pangkalahatang-ideya ng Racer

Nicolás Martín "Nico" Varrone, born on November 6, 2000, is a rising Argentine racing driver currently competing for Proton Competition in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). Varrone's journey in motorsport began with karting in his homeland before transitioning to single-seaters in the national Formula Renault category. In 2018, he moved to Europe and dominated the V de V Challenge Monoplace, securing the title with six wins. His single-seater career continued in British Formula 3, highlighted by a win at Spa.

However, funding issues led him to explore opportunities in GT and endurance racing. This shift proved fruitful, with Varrone achieving significant success. He won the 24 Hours of Daytona in the LMP3 class in 2023 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LMGTE Am class with Corvette Racing, also becoming the 2023 WEC champion in LMGTE Am. In 2024, he added another Le Mans victory to his name, this time in the LMP2 Pro-Am subclass with AF Corse. His impressive performances earned him an upgrade to FIA Gold ranking and a Corvette factory driver role.

Currently, in 2025, Varrone is competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship with Proton Competition, driving a Porsche 963 in the Hypercar class. Beyond his on-track achievements, Varrone has also expressed a strong desire to race in IndyCar, a dream he has held since childhood. He even had a surprise Formula 2 test in Abu Dhabi in 2024, thanks to a viral hashtag campaign in Argentina.
