Samer Shahin

Samer Shahin is an Australian racing driver with a strong presence in the Porsche racing scene. Known for his achievements in Pro-Am classes, Shahin has made a name for himself in both the Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia and the Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia. His consistent performance has earned him recognition as a multiple Pro-Am champion, including securing the SP Tools Pro-Am class in the 2022 Carrera Cup Australia Championship and claiming the 2019 and 2023 Sprint Challenge Pro-Am titles.

Over his 41-round Carrera Cup Australia career, Shahin has achieved notable success, securing seven Pro-Am round wins and 22 race victories. In 2023, he marked his 100th Porsche Carrera Cup Australia race start, a significant milestone in his career. Beyond his on-track accomplishments, Shahin is also known as one of the founders of The Bend Motorsport Park in South Australia.

In 2024, Shahin embarked on a new challenge, securing a seat in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup with the Dutch team GP Elite. Competing in the Pro-Am class, he participates in all eight rounds of the championship, racing at iconic European circuits such as Imola, Monaco, Spa-Francorchamps, Silverstone and Monza which are support events for Formula 1. This move represents a significant step in his career, joining other Australian drivers who have made the leap to international one-make competition. His brother is also a racing driver, Yasser Shahin.
