José maria Marreiros

José Maria Marreiros is a Portuguese racing driver currently competing in the Campeonato de España de GT (Spanish GT Championship) with his father, Pedro Marreiros, in a Porsche 992 GT3 Cup for Veloso Motorsport. Born in Portugal, Marreiros has been making a name for himself in the world of GT racing. In 2021, he secured the championship title in his class in the Campeonato de Portugal de Velocidade (Portuguese Speed Championship) while driving a Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubman.

In June 2024, Marreiros teamed up with MotoGP rider Miguel Oliveira to compete in the Estoril round of the Porsche Cup C6 Bank Endurance Challenge. Marreiros considers sharing the track with Oliveira, who he considers both an idol and a friend, as a dream come true.

Earlier in his career, Marreiros participated in the Ligier European Series. In a 2022 race at Portimão, he experienced a minor setback when he spun the Team Virage #43 car after taking over from Bernardo Pinheiro. Despite being categorized as a Silver driver by the FIA, José Maria Marreiros is actively developing his skills in GT racing and is considered a rising talent in Portuguese motorsports.
