Thomas Jäger is a German professional racing driver born on October 27, 1976, in Chemnitz. Jäger's career spans several racing disciplines, including the Renault Spider Trophy, German Formula Three Championship, DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters), WTCC (World Touring Car Championship), and various GT series. He achieved third place in the German Formula Three Championship in 1999, behind Christijan Albers and Marcel Fässler. From 2000 to 2003, he competed in the DTM for Mercedes-Benz, securing two podium finishes with a best championship result of seventh in 2001.
In 2005, Jäger briefly participated in the WTCC before switching to the German Mini Challenge, which he won in 2006. He then moved to the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany, claiming the championship title in 2009. His success continued in GT racing, highlighted by winning the 2013 Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour driving a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 for Erebus Motorsport, alongside Alexander Roloff and Bernd Schneider. He also secured a second-place finish at the same race in 2014.
