Sébastien Buemi, born on October 31, 1988, is a Swiss racing driver with a diverse and highly successful career spanning Formula One, Formula E, and the World Endurance Championship (WEC). His journey began in karting at a young age, quickly progressing to German Formula BMW, where he finished third in 2004, just behind Sebastian Vettel. In 2009, Buemi made his Formula 1 debut with Toro Rosso, becoming the first Swiss F1 driver since 1995, and remained with the team until the end of 2011.
While his Formula 1 career didn't yield podiums, Buemi found immense success in other racing categories. He secured the 2015–16 Formula E Championship with Renault and has become a dominant force in the FIA World Endurance Championship. Racing for Toyota since 2012, Buemi has clinched a joint-record four FIA World Endurance Championship titles and has triumphed four times at the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans. In Formula E, after a long and successful career with e.Dams, he joined Envision Racing in 2022, continuing to add to his impressive record.
