Mohamad Afiq Ikhwan Mohamad Yazid, most commonly known as Afiq Yazid, is a Malaysian racing driver who has been making a name for himself in the Asian and Malaysian motorsport scene since beginning his career in 2007. Known for his natural talent and race craft, Afiq quickly gained recognition with three karting championship titles and a season in the Formula BMW Pacific Series within his first three years. In 2010, he was the champion of the Asia and Malaysia Rotax Max Karting Challenge.

Afiq's experience extends beyond karting, as he was selected for the Petronas Formula Experience (PFX) program in 2008, where he consistently finished on the podium. In 2010, he secured a racing scholarship with Team Meritus-GP to compete in the Formula BMW Pacific Series, finishing 6th overall. The following year, in the JK Racing Asia Series (formerly Formula BMW Pacific Series), he was crowned vice champion, winning 10 out of 18 races. Continuing with Team Meritus.GP Petronas in 2012, Afiq aimed to further build upon his talent and experience in the competitive racing environment. He has a total of 13 podium finishes.
