Christophe d'Ansembourg

Christophe d'Ansembourg, a Luxembourgish racing driver born on August 1, 1963, has carved out a notable career in historic motorsport. While details on his early career are limited, it's known that he initially participated in modern racing, including the Ferrari Challenge and the Belgian Procar series. However, he found a greater passion in historic racing, making the switch in 2003.

D'Ansembourg's historic racing endeavors have seen him behind the wheels of iconic cars. These include a Bizzarrini in GT racing, various prototypes, and, significantly, Formula 1 cars. He first experienced F1 with a Lotus 76 in 2006 and later raced a McLaren M26. More recently, he has become closely associated with the Williams FW07C, a ground-effect car with which he claims to have competed in over 100 races.

D'Ansembourg has achieved considerable success in Masters Historic Racing, participating since its inception. A highlight of his career was a Spa Six Hours meeting where he won three out of four races in Masters Historic Formula One and Masters Endurance Legends, even achieving a personal best of 2:11 in qualifying. Beyond historic racing, in 2020, he participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, driving car #11. Throughout his career, he has started in 139 races, with 15 wins and 52 podium finishes.
