Olivier Bédard

Olivier Bédard is a Canadian race car driver hailing from Montréal, Québec, with a strong aspiration to reach the pinnacle of motorsports. Born on April 9, 1997, Bédard's passion for racing ignited early, watching his father compete in karting events. This exposure led him to begin karting at the age of nine in 2006, honing his skills against some of Canada's best, many of whom have progressed to Formula 1, Formula 2, IndyCar, and IMSA.

Transitioning to open-wheel racing at 16 in Formula 1600, Bédard demonstrated considerable potential, eventually securing a drive with a newly formed team. He quickly proved his championship capabilities, clinching his first victory early in the season and finishing as runner-up with nine podiums, two wins, and consistent top-five finishes. In 2015, facing budget constraints, Olivier formed his own team to compete in the Nissan Micra Cup, a single-make touring series. He captured the title with five victories and eight podiums in 12 races. He continued to excel in the Nissan Micra Cup, racing for Albi Nissan/Total Canada, securing another championship in 2017 and a runner-up finish prior. His record in the Micra Cup is impressive with 35 podiums out of 44 races and finishing 43 of those races, including a streak of 14 consecutive podium finishes. In 2018, he continued in the Nissan Micra Cup Championship with SolidXperts Racing, aiming for another title.

Bédard's achievements include being a two-time Nissan Micra Cup Champion (2015, 2017) and the 2014 F1600 runner-up. He was also a member of Team Canada for the world karting championship. Beyond racing, Olivier served as a Nissan brand ambassador, participating in autograph sessions and television appearances.
