Pre-race interview with Yang Yang of OK Racing: Drawing inspiration from racing to make a final push for the year.
Racing News & Updates October 30
Yang Yang, a driver from OK Racing, is going all out for the 2025 Xiaomi China Endurance Championship. This IT professional, who first entered the world of circuit racing in 2024, has already achieved four class wins in the CEC series. In the Pingtan round, which concluded in mid-September, he even secured his first career two-game winning streak. Before the final race, we had the opportunity to interview this highly individualistic driver.
Yang Yang's circuit racing career began in local competitions, where he met and raced alongside his team at the Guangdong International Circuit. In 2024, Yang Yang represented OK Racing in the Zhuhai final race of the CEC, his first national race. In this race, he not only made many friends within the team but also experienced his first time driving a TCE class car on the track.

Yang Yang's debut in the National Endurance Championship went very smoothly. With close cooperation from his team and teammates, he achieved an outstanding result, winning a TCE class championship in his debut. This further solidified his determination to join forces with the OK Racing team, and he chose to participate in this endurance racing series, which showcases unwavering determination, throughout the 2025 season.

When asked about his main job, Yang Yang humbly stated, "I am currently working on starting a game company. The main reason I participated in CEC was to seek inspiration, especially hoping to use my racing experience to develop some racing games." Indeed, Yang Yang's boundless passion for racing leads him to hope that he can contribute to the development of the motorsport industry and help more young people correctly understand this fascinating sport.

In fact, Yang Yang, the driver, is already a leading figure in an information technology company, and motorsports has had a profound impact on him personally. When discussing the positive impact of motorsports on his personal performance, Yang Yang insightfully stated, "I think it mainly involves two aspects: First, racing encourages me to challenge myself. Constantly pushing the car to its limits on the track, and not exceeding those limits, is a challenge in itself. Second, participating in endurance races like the CEC helps improve focus and competitive performance, which benefits both my life and work."

Yang Yang has participated in the CEC race for less than a year, yet his understanding of the race format has matured considerably. Especially in two crucial races at the Pingtan Ruyi Lake International City Circuit, when his team encountered difficulties while leading, the No. 11 car crew, Li Donglai/Yang Yang, stepped up and played a key role in the team's victory.

Reflecting on the race in Pingtan last month, he said, "This was my first time racing on a street circuit, and it was very challenging for me. To be honest, the Pingtan circuit is quite narrow compared to other circuits, with walls on both sides. At first, I was quite afraid to drive in that environment, but I overcame my fear and gradually improved my lap times."

When he stepped onto the podium after this victory, Yang Yang was radiant with joy. Off the track, Yang Yang always loves life and is committed to becoming an even better endurance driver. "I hope to continue challenging myself in the CEC series, pushing myself closer to the limits of racing, and honing my true courage and willpower."
After six rounds of racing, Yang Yang's No. 11 car and his brother car, the No. 12 from OK Racing, are alternating in the lead of the GT Cup-TCE group standings. The competition in the 2025 Xiaomi China Endurance Championship has reached a fever pitch. We look forward to Yang Yang and his OK Racing team delivering an even more impressive performance in the battle for the annual championship.
