Florian Strauß, born on November 6, 1984, is a German racing driver whose entry into motorsport is quite unique. Before becoming a professional racer, Strauß worked as a car rental manager. His career took a dramatic turn in 2013 when he won the German Nissan PlayStation GT Academy competition, beating over 99,000 other Gran Turismo players. This victory transformed him from a virtual racer into a real-world NISMO Athlete, racing professionally for Nissan.
Strauß's early racing career saw him achieving significant milestones. In 2014, he secured a class victory at the Dubai 24 Hours. A highlight of his career was winning the Bathurst 12 Hour race in 2015 driving a Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3. He has also participated in the Blancpain Endurance Series and the ADAC GT Masters, showcasing his versatility in GT racing. In 2018, Strauß joined KCMG to compete in the Blancpain GT Series Asia, driving a Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3.
