Jean-Denis Delétraz

Jean-Denis Delétraz, born on October 1, 1963, is a Swiss racing driver with a career spanning several motorsport disciplines. He is also the father of racing driver Louis Delétraz. Delétraz's early career included two wins in Formula Ford and participation in French Formula Three, where he finished 14th in 1987. He then progressed to Formula 3000, achieving two third-place finishes in 1988. In 1990, he acquired the FIRST racing team but didn't replicate his earlier success.

Delétraz entered Formula One in 1994, debuting at the Australian Grand Prix with the Larrousse team. He participated in a total of three Grands Prix, later driving for the Pacific team in 1995. His Formula One career was brief and largely funded, rather than based on outstanding results. His best result was 16th place in the 1995 European Grand Prix.

After his time in Formula One, Delétraz shifted his focus to sports car racing. He competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the BPR Global GT Series, co-owning the FIRST Racing operation with Fabien Giroix. He achieved two class wins at Le Mans. He participated in the FIA GT Championship with a McLaren F1 GTR and later with Lotus Elise GT1s. Throughout the 2000s, he continued to race in the FIA GT Series, driving Ferrari, Lister, and Lamborghini cars. He also competed in the FIA GT3 European Championship and historic racing events.
